Woodwind students at Georgia State University have the exceptional opportunity of studying with woodwind faculty members who are educators and performers of the highest level. Students benefit from close personal interactions with the faculty through private lessons, masterclasses, and performance ensembles.

The woodwind area frequently hosts guest artists for studio masterclasses as well as hosting large events such as Atlanta Saxophone Day and Double Reed Day. The woodwind area offers an active and competitive chamber music program to its students which includes small ensembles ranging from duos to octets.
