Music Production & Audio Recording
Music Production & Audio Recording prepares students for work in artistic, technical or producer/engineer capacities in music and music-related media industries. Students are aesthetically and practically trained for work as audio engineers and music technologists. Auditions or digital portfolios are required.
Composition
This concentration prepares students as professional composers, doctoral students in composition and teachers of composition.
Jazz Studies
Jazz Studies develops the special talents of the creative jazz artist as well as the skills required to prepare for a career as a professional musician.
Music Management
Music Management prepares students for a variety of management-related careers in the music industry, including both profit and non-profit sectors.
Arts Administration
The Arts Administration concentration provides students with a broad-based knowledge of business and the arts and positions graduates for managerial positions in galleries, theaters and other arts organizations, especially in the nonprofit sector.
Music Performance
Music Performance prepares students for careers as performing musicians or studio teachers. A strong background in music reading and performance is required.
Music Education
Music Education prepares you to teach music in schools or other group settings from early childhood through adulthood. After graduation, you qualify for a Georgia teaching certificate in K-12 music.

Demetrious Sampson has been a standout student in the opera scene not only in Atlanta but also across the nation.This past weekend, Demetrious traveled to New York to audition for the Opera Index vocal competition, whose mission is to assist young singers in the early stages of their careers with cash awards.

Artistic Voices: Lyndiona Kemp Teaches Music in Cambodia
When it comes to paving career foundations, many of our art students tap into connections and internships here in the metro-Atlanta area. Not so for music education student Lyndiona Kemp. The graduating senior chose a different path and traveled more than 9,000 miles to rural Battambang, Cambodia to teach a music workshop that she co-created with her project partner from the New England Conservatory.
