STUDENT RESOURCES
Welcome to the School of Music Student Resource Page—your one-stop hub for everything you need to succeed. Here, you’ll find essential information including the student handbook, recital booking details, news stories, upcoming events, and much more. Stay informed and make the most of your time with us as you pursue your musical degree.
For financial aid issues, contact the Office of Financial Aid (sfs.gsu.edu). The School of Music cannot assist with financial aid problems or register students late to meet aid requirements. Most financial aid requires at least half-time enrollment (6 credit hours). Students must meet payment deadlines to avoid being dropped from classes; the School of Music cannot guarantee reinstatement if dropped for non-payment.
General
In order to be considered for scholarships, accepted students must complete the College of the Arts Scholarship Application in Academic Works (linked below). You will have had to already apply to the University to be able to create an account.
Undergraduate Students
For information on non-music scholarships and financial aid please visit the Georgia State University Scholarship and Georgia State University Financial Aid pages.
Hope Scholarship
Ensure compliance with grade-point and credit-hour requirements. Withdrawals (grades of “W”) count as “courses attempted” and will reduce allowable credits. Zero-credit classes, like performance labs, should not affect HOPE hours. Contact the Undergraduate Director’s office if these classes are counted against HOPE hours. There is no minimum credit-hour requirement for HOPE.
