The Harrower Summer Workshop Gala Dinner on June 7 was a spectacular event. It was a successful fundraiser benefiting Opera Studies at GSU. The students from the workshop performed alongside the guest artists, Indra Thomas and Morris Robinson. The following weekend the students performed in three operas Falstaff, Der Rosenkavalier and The Marriage of Figaro.
Robert was in Finland and just finished a guest conducting engagement with the Helsinki Police Band. He gave performances in Kotka and Karkilla. The concert in Kotka was combined with the Kotka Youth Wind Ensembles and was standing room only. He learned that he was the first guest conductor in the history of the group.
